How is LawLand different from a lawyer directory?
Lawyer directories list profiles and leave the rest to you — pricing, scope, follow-up, payment, all of it. LawLand is productized: every service has a fixed price, a written scope, an SLA, and escrow-protected payment. You buy a deliverable, not an introduction.
How does the escrow work?
When you pay, the money sits in a LawLand-controlled escrow account, not the advocate's account. The advocate gets paid only after you mark the deliverable as accepted. If the work is not delivered or you are not satisfied, payment is refunded per the policy on each service page.
What if I am not happy with the draft?
Two rounds of revisions are included on every drafting service. If the deliverable still does not match the scope, you can request a refund — we review every dispute within one business day and decide on facts, not on whose side we are on.
Are the lawyers actually verified?
Yes. Every advocate on LawLand has their State Bar Council enrolment number checked, their photo ID matched, and their court enrolment confirmed before they accept a single brief. We also publish the last four characters of the bar council ID on the profile so you can re-verify yourself.
Can I get help in Hindi or my regional language?
Yes — Hindi and English are live on day one, with verified Hindi-fluent advocates available across Pune, Indore, Bengaluru and our other launch cities. Marathi, Tamil and Gujarati are landing this year. You pick the language during booking.
Is my data safe?
We are a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Your call notes, documents, and personal details are encrypted at rest, never sold, and you can export or delete everything at any time from your account settings.
