Refund & Re-do Policy
We use a free re-do model rather than a money-back model — and here is exactly why and how it works.
1. Our approach
We work at a flat, all-inclusive fee that is agreed in writing before any work begins, with the scope clearly set out. Our aim is to deliver exactly that scope. Where a drafting service includes revisions, those are used to get the deliverable right; where we are unable to deliver the agreed scope, a fair refund is made. This policy explains how that works.
2. Revisions
- Drafting and documentation services include the rounds of revisions stated in the scope for that service.
- Revisions are for bringing the deliverable in line with the agreed scope — not for adding new scope, which is quoted separately.
3. When a refund applies
A refund is made in these circumstances:
- We are unable to deliver the agreed scope of work.
- You cancel before work on your matter has substantively begun.
- A consultation slot we confirmed cannot be honoured and cannot be rescheduled to a time that works for you.
- A clear technical or regulatory defect prevents delivery.
4. Refund mechanics
- Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method.
- The payment provider’s typical settlement time is 5–7 business days; bank-side delays are outside our control.
- Where GST was collected on a refunded amount, it is credited back per Indian GST rules.
- Any third-party charge already paid to an authority on your behalf in the course of a matter is non-refundable once remitted.
5. Cancellation
- Fixed-fee services: you may cancel for a full refund before work on your matter has substantively begun. Once substantive work has been done, a fair refund reflecting work completed may apply.
- Consultations: free cancellation or reschedule up to a reasonable time before the slot. A confirmed slot missed without notice may be forfeit.
6. Concerns & appeals
If you are unhappy with the outcome of a refund decision, write to support@lawland.in and the matter will be reviewed personally. Grievances may also be raised with our grievance officer at grievance@lawland.in.
