Affidavit drafting at a flat fee, done correctly

An affidavit is a written statement you swear to be true, used as proof for everything from address and income to a correction in your name or date of birth. Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her team draft any affidavit you need at a flat ₹999, delivered within 24 hours, in English or Hindi. We put your statement into correct legal form — the right facts, the proper verification, and a declaration that holds up wherever you submit it — so you are not relying on a generic *affidavit format* that may not fit your purpose.

The fee is fixed and agreed in writing before we begin. There is no hourly billing, nothing added later, and no upselling.

What an affidavit actually is

An affidavit is a formal statement of facts that you — the *deponent* — declare to be true, and then swear or affirm before a notary public or another authorised officer. It carries weight precisely because it is made on oath: you are putting your name to the truth of what it says, and a false statement in an affidavit is a serious matter under Indian law.

Because an affidavit is used as evidence of the facts it states, its exact wording matters. It must identify you correctly, state only the facts relevant to your purpose, distinguish clearly between what you know of your own knowledge and what you believe, and close with a proper verification clause. An affidavit that is loosely worded, states the wrong facts, or omits the verification can be rejected by the very authority you submit it to — which usually means starting over. Getting it right the first time is the whole point of having it drafted properly.

Our flat fee and what it covers

For a flat ₹999, we draft your affidavit from start to finish.

It begins with understanding your purpose. Before we draft a word, we need to know exactly what the affidavit is for and who will receive it, because the facts it must state, the form it should take and the declarations it needs all follow from that. From there we prepare a complete affidavit tailored to your purpose, with:

  • The correct facts and structure for what you are declaring — no more and no less than your purpose requires.
  • Accurate deponent details and a properly worded statement of the facts you are swearing to.
  • A sound verification clause, so the affidavit is complete and acceptable to the authority you are submitting it to.
  • A plain-language explanation of exactly what you are declaring, so you swear to something you genuinely understand.
  • Guidance on getting it sworn and notarised before the right authority.

You get one round of revisions after you review the draft. The fee is agreed in writing before we start and does not change. Unlike firms that pad a bill, we quote one fee and tell you honestly what your matter actually needs — most affidavits are a single, clean piece of drafting, and we treat them that way.

Affidavits we draft

People need affidavits for a wide range of everyday and official reasons. A few of the ones we prepare most often:

Address proof affidavit

When you need to establish where you live — for a bank, an employer, an admission, a licence or a utility connection — an address proof affidavit states your residence on oath. We word it to match what the receiving authority expects, so it is accepted rather than returned.

Name, date-of-birth and spelling corrections

Records do not always agree — a name spelled differently across documents, a mismatched date of birth, or an initial that appears in one place and not another. A correction affidavit declares that the differing entries refer to the same person, or sets out the correct particulars. We draft it precisely, and if your matter is really a full change of name, we tell you and can help through our name change and gazette notification service instead.

Income and financial affidavits

An income affidavit declares your earnings on oath for a scholarship, an admission, a fee concession, a visa or a similar requirement. We draft it to state your income clearly and in the form the authority asks for, so it does what it needs to do.

Gap and employment affidavits

A gap affidavit explains a break in your studies or employment; other declarations confirm employment, unemployment, or the reason for a period out of work. We put the explanation into a clean, credible statement that does the job without saying more than it should.

Self-declaration and general affidavits

Many situations simply need you to declare a fact on oath — a single or joint status, a lost document, a relationship, a no-objection, a change of signature, or any other matter where a sworn statement is required. Whatever the fact, we draft the self-declaration affidavit to fit it exactly.

Whatever your purpose, if it needs a sworn statement, we can draft it. If you are unsure which affidavit you need, book a consultation and we will tell you.

Why a downloaded "affidavit format" is not enough

It is tempting to treat an affidavit as a fill-in-the-blanks form. The trouble is that a generic *affidavit format* is written for no one in particular. It may state facts you do not mean, leave out the specific declaration your authority requires, use a verification clause that does not suit your purpose, or simply be worded in a way the receiving office will not accept. An affidavit that is rejected has cost you time and delayed the matter it was meant to support.

What we give you instead is an affidavit drafted for your exact purpose and the specific authority that will receive it — correct, complete, and ready to be sworn. That is the difference between a document that works and a template that might.

What you get with Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her team

An affidavit is a document you put your name to on oath and then submit to someone who relies on it. The care that goes into it matters more than most people expect.

  • A named advocate stands behind your affidavit. It is drafted by Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her team, worded correctly for your purpose — not pulled from a form bank.
  • The right facts, the right form. We state exactly what your purpose requires, with a proper verification clause, so the affidavit is accepted where you submit it.
  • You understand what you are swearing to. We explain the affidavit in plain language before you sign it, because you are putting your name to its truth.
  • English or Hindi, whichever you need. We draft in clear English or in Hindi, so the document is one you genuinely understand rather than one you are trusting on faith.

How working with us goes

Working with us is simple, and you always know what happens next.

First, we understand your purpose. We ask what the affidavit is for, who will receive it, and the facts you need to declare. Getting this right is where a good affidavit is really made.

Then we draft. We prepare a complete affidavit tailored to your purpose, with the correct facts, structure and verification. You receive a document written to be sworn, not a rough outline — usually within 24 hours.

You review, and we revise. You read the draft, we explain anything you want explained, and we make one round of revisions so it says exactly what you intend.

We guide you through swearing it. We tell you how and before whom the affidavit should be sworn and notarised, so you end up with a document you can actually submit. What matters to you is the outcome — a valid affidavit that is accepted the first time — and that is what we deliver.

Getting your affidavit sworn and notarised

An affidavit becomes effective once you swear or affirm it before an authorised person — commonly a notary public, an oath commissioner, or another officer empowered to administer an oath. Until then it is only a draft; the oath is what gives it force.

Our job is to hand you an affidavit that is correctly drafted and ready for that step, and to tell you plainly where and before whom it should be sworn for your particular purpose. We describe the outcome and what you need to do to get there, so you are never left guessing. You focus on submitting a document that works; we make sure the drafting is sound so that it does.

Available across India and for NRIs abroad

We draft affidavits for clients everywhere in India and for Indians living abroad. An affidavit is fundamentally a written instrument, so where you are does not limit us — what matters is that it is drafted correctly for your purpose and the authority that will receive it.

For NRIs and clients overseas, we draft the affidavit in India to suit your Indian purpose, then guide you on how to swear it where you are — before a notary abroad or at the Indian consulate or embassy — and, where your matter needs it, how to have it validated for use in India. Everything is handled by email and message, in English or Hindi, on a timeline that works across time zones.

Why choose Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her team

  • A named advocate, not a template. Adv. Bhawna Yadav (B.A. LL.B., LL.M., UGC-NET JRF), enrolled with the Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh, and her team draft your affidavit personally.
  • One flat fee of ₹999, agreed in writing before we start. No hourly billing, and nothing added afterwards.
  • No upselling, ever. We quote one fee and tell you honestly what your matter needs. Most affidavits are a single clean piece of work, and we treat them that way rather than inventing steps.
  • Delivered within 24 hours, in English or Hindi, drafted so you understand every word you are swearing to.

Need more than a single affidavit? A power of attorney often sits alongside affidavits for property and NRI matters, and if your real need is a formal change of name, our name change and gazette notification service handles it end to end. Not sure where to start? Book a consultation and we will point you the right way.

The legal basis

Affidavits in India rest on a small, settled body of law. The Oaths Act, 1969 empowers courts, notaries and other authorised officers to administer oaths and affirmations, which is what turns your written statement into a sworn affidavit. Notarisation is governed by the Notaries Act, 1952, under which a notary public attests the affidavit. The evidentiary value of what you swear is recognised under the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (which replaced the Indian Evidence Act, 1872), and in civil proceedings affidavits are dealt with under Order XIX of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.

Because an affidavit is made on oath, the law takes its truth seriously: making a false statement in an affidavit is an offence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (which replaced the Indian Penal Code). That is exactly why the drafting matters — a properly drafted affidavit states only what is true and relevant, in the correct form, so it does its job and exposes you to nothing it should not.

Say what you need to say, correctly and on oath — and have it drafted by someone accountable for it. That is what a properly drafted affidavit gives you, and it is what Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her team deliver at a flat ₹999, within 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

What does the ₹999 for affidavit drafting cover?

It covers the whole job of drafting your affidavit — understanding your purpose, preparing a complete affidavit with the correct facts, structure and verification clause, and one round of revisions after you review it. It is one flat fee, agreed in writing before we start, delivered within 24 hours. There is no hourly billing and nothing added afterwards.

Can you just give me an affidavit format I can fill in myself?

We do something better than hand you a blank format. A generic affidavit format is written for no one in particular and often states the wrong facts, misses the declaration your authority needs, or uses wording the receiving office will not accept. We draft the affidavit for your exact purpose and the specific authority that will receive it, so you submit a document that works rather than a template that might.

How long does it take to get my affidavit?

In most cases we deliver a ready-to-swear affidavit within 24 hours. Once you have reviewed it and we have made any revision you want, you take the final document to be sworn and notarised. If your purpose is unusually involved we will tell you honestly at the outset how long it will take.

Does the affidavit need to be notarised?

An affidavit takes effect once you swear or affirm it before an authorised person — commonly a notary public or an oath commissioner. Our job is to hand you a correctly drafted affidavit that is ready for that step, and to tell you plainly where and before whom it should be sworn for your particular purpose, so it is accepted the first time.

What kinds of affidavits do you draft?

A wide range — address proof, name and date-of-birth or spelling corrections, income affidavits, study or employment gap affidavits, self-declarations, no-objection and single or joint status declarations, lost-document affidavits, change of signature, and most other matters where a fact must be stated on oath. If you are unsure which affidavit you need, we will tell you.

Do you draft affidavits for people across India and for NRIs abroad?

Yes. An affidavit is a written instrument, so we draft for clients everywhere in India and for Indians living abroad. For NRIs we draft the affidavit to suit your Indian purpose and guide you on how to swear it where you are — before a notary abroad or at the Indian consulate — and, where needed, how to have it validated for use in India. Everything is handled by email and message.

Will the affidavit be in English or Hindi?

Whichever you prefer. We draft in clear English or in Hindi, and we explain what the affidavit says before you sign it, because you are putting your name to the truth of what it states.

What happens if the facts in an affidavit are wrong?

An affidavit is made on oath, so the facts in it must be true — making a false statement in an affidavit is a serious offence under Indian law. That is exactly why careful drafting matters. We word the affidavit to state only what is true and relevant to your purpose, in the correct form, so it does its job and exposes you to nothing it should not.

Bhawna Yadav is entitled to act for clients across the whole of India, so this service is available the same way everywhere — for businesses and individuals in any state.
