Terms of Service
The contract that governs your use of LawLand. Indian Contract Act 1872, DPDP Act 2023, governing law Bangalore (Bengaluru) jurisdiction.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website https://lawland.in (the “Site”) and the legal services offered through it by Law Land India, the practice of Advocate Bhawna Yadav, enrolled with the Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh, with chambers at Arera Hills, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh 462011, India (“we”, “us”, “the firm”).
By using the Site or engaging any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Nature of the service
Law Land India is the practice of Advocate Bhawna Yadav. Every matter is handled by Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her team, and she is the advocate of record for work taken through this Site. An advocate–client relationship is created only on a written engagement for a specific matter; merely browsing the Site, or an initial enquiry, does not by itself create one. Content on the Site is general information, not legal advice for your particular situation.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- If you engage us on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3. Engaging a service & fees
- Each service shows a single, flat, all-inclusive fee. Before any work begins you receive a written scope stating the fee, the timeline, and what is and is not included. The fee you agree is the fee you pay; there is no hourly billing and nothing is added later.
- A consultation is a fixed-fee service with a defined scope (focused advisory time and a written summary). If a matter needs drafting, filing or representation, that work is scoped and quoted separately, with your prior sign-off.
- Foreign-client (India-entry) services are quoted in USD. Government charges, where any apply to a matter, are dealt with as part of the engagement and are not used to inflate the quoted figure.
- Payments are processed through a Reserve Bank of India–licensed payment provider. We do not collect or store your card details.
4. Who does the work
Your matter is handled by Adv. Bhawna Yadav and her in-house team. You always know who is responsible for your work. We do not operate a panel of third-party advocates, and your matter is not reassigned to an unknown lawyer.
5. Bar Council of India compliance
This Site is published in compliance with Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules. It states factual information only — the advocate’s name, qualifications, enrolment, areas of practice, contact details and languages — and does not contain any solicitation, advertisement of success, comparison with other lawyers, or guarantee of outcome. Nothing on the Site should be read as a promise of any particular result.
6. Acceptable use
- You will not provide unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent content or instructions.
- You will not reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Site.
- You understand that engaging the firm for advisory or documentation work does not, by itself, include court appearance, which is scoped separately where it is needed and undertaken.
7. Refunds & concerns
Our approach to revisions and refunds is set out in the Refund Policy at /legal/refund-policy. In short: drafting work includes the revisions stated in its scope, and where the firm is unable to deliver the agreed scope, a fair refund is made.
8. Intellectual property
The Site, including its content and design, is owned by Law Land India or its licensors. Documents prepared for you under a paid engagement are for your use; the advocate retains professional copyright in the work product unless an explicit assignment is agreed in writing.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or any service shall not exceed the fee you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, data, or goodwill.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or your infringement of a third-party right.
11. Data protection (DPDP Act, 2023)
We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Please read our Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy for lawful purposes, retention, your rights, and the contact details of our Grievance Officer. Information you share in the course of an engagement is also covered by advocate–client confidentiality.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through a notice on the Site before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Advocates Act, 1961, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Subject to Clause 14 (Arbitration), the courts at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussion. Failing resolution within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bhopal, and the language of arbitration shall be English.
